IPL Brings Entertainment In Bollywood Off Season

With mercury soaring high, people are left with few choices of entertainment outdoors. And to top it all Bollywood scene is on a stand still with no grand ventures to look forward to. Amid this scenario, the second season of the Indian Premier League begins today, April 18, in South Africa. And, as is usual with all major events, this too had its share of controversies, complications and nail-biting moments. But, all that is a thing of the past and its now time to wait for the matches to begin.

Everybody is flushed with excitement, many of you are still rescheduling meetings to catch your favorite team performing on the ground, others must be finalizing travel plans to South Africa to catch the action live.

The matches commence from 4pm to 8pm IST for the convenience of TV viewers. The second edition of IPL has already generated great excitement, enthusiasm and expectation among the
people in South Africa too. People especially of Indian origin, are ‘over the moon’ that the IPL is happening here. With this in mind, many matches are being held in cities that have a sizeable NRI population. The cities that are hosting the IPL2009 are Durban, Cape Town, Centurion (Pretoria), Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, East London, Bloemfontein and Kimberley.
