After Shahrukh Khan and Ajay Devgan, another Bollywood star to join the brigade of those facing a legal lash for smoking in public happens to be Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir was captured by the camera while he was smoking on the sets of his film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in Udaipur and these clicks found a place in a local daily. Offended by these pics, the Udaipur resident Harish Vaishnav filed a complaint against him and now, Ranbir has reportedly been summoned by a local court in Udaipur on June 26 for smoking in a public place.
Ranbir's crime falls under the violation of Section 5 of the Rajasthan Prevention of Smoking Act, according to which if a person is found guilty of smoking in public places, he can be sentenced to a maximum imprisonment of six months or a fine of Rs. 200.
